Making The Most of a 9 Year
Hello friends,
2007 has certainly flown by so far, yet there are several weeks left, so I would like to help make the most of the current energies. There are many celestial and numerological influences at play, and whether you are aware of them or not, I know you're feeling them!
Now more than ever, perhaps you are wondering about your true calling. You might be more discriminating about how you are spending your time and with whom. Perhaps you feel the need to slow down and take more time to yourself. Or maybe you are just feeling that the Universe is kicking your butt and you don't know why!
I hope you find some comfort in my words, and some guidance to navigate your daily activities. Astrology and numerology are helpful tools to chart your course and interpret the energies around and within you. With that in mind, let's take a look at the tides of energy around us now.
2007 is a Universal year that vibrates to the number 9. We derive this by adding the numbers 2+0+0+7=9. 9 is the number of completion and fruition. It is the last single digit and therefore denotes the end of a cycle.
We can observe cycles in all of nature. The earth revolves around the sun every 365 ¼ days. Seeds are planted in the earth, bear fruit, and the seeds from those fruits return to the earth for yet another cycle. The sun rises and sets every day. The moon waxes and wanes.
So when we are in a 9 year, we are all, as a collective, in a vibrational energy of winding down, clearing out, and cultivating our harvest. A 9 year is likened to the end of winter - the energy is drawn inward, reflecting. Energy is used carefully and stewarded with great care. Spring is forthcoming, but temperatures can feel harsh. That is the energy of the 9.
We do this to prepare for the beginning of another cycle, one that is bursting with life and inspiration. This is where we are heading in 2008. 2008 will be a powerful dynamic year, and we must prepare properly.
Now is the time to tie up loose ends, finish projects that you have been neglecting, heal relationships that need mending, and let go of what no longer serves you. 9 is the number of truth and integrity, so if you are involved with people or activities that do not promote your highest and best, you will feel the urge to make big changes. It is best to make those changes consciously, or else the Universe will do it for you.
On September 2nd, there was a major astrological shift. The planet Saturn moved into Virgo for a whopping 2 ½ year cycle. The planet Saturn spends nearly 2/12 years in each of the 12 signs, and doesn't come back around again for almost 29 years. (There are those cycles again). When Saturn transits a sign, there is a major shift in energy everyone on the planet needs to incorporate its lessons.
Saturn is known as the task-master of the zodiac; the planet that shows us how to maintain the structure of our life, often through limitations and restriction. Virgo is the planet of health, discrimination, and service. With Saturn in Virgo, we learn how to create better personal boundaries, manage our time constructively, create healthy daily routines, and devote ourselves to the common good.
This astrological transit echoes the themes of the 9 vibration. Ultimately, we all must learn how to be of service and fulfill our higher purpose is in this world. The path towards fulfilling our purpose is made clear by expressing our true nature. If you are mired in the "shoulds" and self-imposed obligations of your life, or neglecting the needs of your body and your spirit, you might miss your marks.
Saturn has arrived in Virgo to help you. Pay attention to the areas of your life that are straining you. Honoring your natural cycles, take time now to relax, rejuvenate, and restore your body. You will want to be crystal clear about your intentions in 2008, and in good health as well.
Here are some helpful reminders to make the most of 2007 - and beyond!
Pay attention to your needs rather than trying to please other people.
How would you spend your time if you could live for yourself rather than doing what you feel others expect of you? Remember, what is good for you is good for all. If you make your decisions without honoring your own needs first, you are not living in truth. It is best for all parties for you to do what's right for you!
Clear the energy in your home.
Get rid of photos that don't flatter you, clothes that no longer suit you, and the items that you no longer use. Objects have energy. Holding onto objects that do not energize you merely clutter your environment and subconscious. Plus, objects that are of no use to you can be treasures for others.
Let go of energy drains.
We often get into routines and obligations that deplete our resources and take up valuable time. Obligations to clubs, classes, friends, family members and activities that no longer nurture our spirit our make us happy can be released. If you find yourself dreading any part of your day, you can choose to make positive changes. Feed your joy rather than your fears.
Breathe deeply.
The exhale is as important as the inhale. On the exhale, you let go. There is no need to force your breath, merely allow yourself to breathe deeply and let your breath relax your body and mind. Breathe in. Breathe out. It feels good doesn't it?
Choose loving thoughts rather than fearful thoughts.
When you find yourself worried about the future or dreading the past, first - connect with your breath, get grounded and centered, and choose to trust yourself and trust your life as you. Are you making "safe" choices rather than pursuing your passions? Your passions lead you to your purpose, and the Universe will support your true calling. Ask yourself, what do I really want?
Get rid of junk mail!
Something as simple as this can make such a huge difference in your life. On average, Americans spend 8 months opening junk mail in the course of their lives! By opting out of receiving junk mail, you can save up to 1.5 trees every year- if everyone did that, we would save more than 100 million trees for all U.S. households combined. You can opt out of unwanted mail by going to this website and completing the online form: http://www.dmachoice.org/consumerassistance.html
And finally, 'tis the season for Thanksgiving, so take stock of all of your bounty. Being alive is a gift, and we are all gifts to each other.
I am very grateful that you are taking the time to read my words, and share your spirit with me. I thank you from my heart. May you know your beauty and have the courage to share it with others. I wish you a blessed and bountiful autumn!
With Love,
Kari
