Spring: The Season of Renewal
Spring is finally here! After the stillness of the long winter, nature wakes us up to engage in her beauty. All our senses come alive and expand our awareness.
As spring's days grow longer, we can again experience the sun's nourishing rays. In our solar system, the moon revolves around the earth, yet all of the planets revolve around the sun. As we pull out of the lunar energy of winter, we find ourselves, like the sun, wanting to share our radiance as well - to socialize, play, create, enjoy.
Nature teaches us that our beauty in all of its glory is part of the pleasure of spring. Just as flowers invite the bees to their nectar, and birds entice each other with song, we too, can celebrate our radiance.
We radiate our beauty when we are in touch with our passions and sharing our light with others. I suggested in my last newsletter that 2006 is the year of passion and abundance. This year emotions run high and there will be an urge to pursue talents that have been neglected.
Perhaps however, you have no idea what your passions are. Perhaps they have been buried or long forgotten. How can you regain that sense of passion and lust for life?
My first suggestion is to make a list of anything you ever loved doing, especially as a child. Chances are you will find clues to your hidden desires and talents. Once you have identified your passions, find like-minded souls to connect with. Find a class, a workshop, a support group, or just some friends who wish to do the same things you do. If you connect with others who share your interests, you will be encouraged to pursue your pleasures even more.
I also suggest you do a deep and thorough spring cleaning - not just of your house, but your emotions as well. Letting go of old, unwanted debris clears the way for renewal.
Look around you, within you. Is there anything you are holding on to that no longer serves you? Every object you own that surrounds you carries the energetic memory of its entire history. Is there something in your environment that has outgrown its usefulness or carries an association of a bad memory? I suggest you donate these objects, sell them, recycle them, or get rid of them. These objects clog your energy field and block new growth and experiences.
For instance, let's say you have an ex-boyfriend that gave you a necklace. You had a difficult relationship but the necklace is of great monetary value. You no longer wear this necklace, but keep it in your closet. That necklace carries its history in its vibration. Every time you open your closet, your subconscious registers your experience with that person, draining your energy and weighing you down. If you no longer own this object, your energy can be released of this experience for good. Cleansing your space of clutter and unnecessary objects is like weeding a garden.
You can clear away old thoughts and feelings as well. Just as April showers bring May flowers, so too do tears clear your emotions for new life. As you get in touch with your passions and neglected talents, you may grieve for missed opportunities. This is natural and part of life's cycles. Allow your feelings to flow and the new beautiful growth will shine through. Invite thoughts of self-love when you find yourself indulging in doubt or worry. Affirmations are a wonderful antidote to negativity, and positive actions will enhance your life even more.
As you get in touch with your passions, you will find your enthusiasm for your life increases, and others will be drawn to you.
So make no excuses! Bask in your beauty. Rise up and celebrate your life. And don't forget to stop and smell the spring flowers along the way.
Have fun you gorgeous gods and goddesses.
