Skeptic Converted....
I went to see Kari mid-June of this year and on my drive there I kept thinking, "What on earth are you doing?" Here I was feeling vulnerable and at a time when money's kind of tight, doing something waaaayyy outside the box for me and all I could think of was family and friends' reactions, "Are you crazy?" It felt kind of desperate of me, actually, and maybe not all that smart. Based on conditioning as a child, I had heard rumblings from some friends of my parents and others that this kind of thing came from a 'bad' place, that it wasn't 'Christian' and being a person of strong faith I was a little scared of that. But Kari just seemed too positive of a person to have anything but the best of intentions - so I pressed on.
Kari, of course, picked up on this as we began my reading and did her best to put me at ease. I went into the appointment feeling like someone who can best be described as 'troubled'. Fearful of time passing me by and missing the boat when it comes to relationships. Kari saw this in me and touched on some of the reasons why this was the case and then we talked about ways I could start to address some of these issues and work on making some much needed changes.
I left the appt. still a little surprised at what came up, but not nearly as skeptical -- I realized I felt a little more calm, a little less troubled and the best part, a little more hopeful that I could make the changes I need to make and be less fearful and believe that I don't have to fall victim to my fears, that I can be someone who lets love in. I even had the brief thought for a moment, that maybe, just maybe, 'love is my destiny'. Years of conditioning have since allowed me to challenge that thought, but I just keep reminding myself to repeat it over and over again until it becomes something I truly believe in and better yet, something that is real for me, something that is my truth! And if it wasn't for Kari, that thought likely wouldn't have been one that even entered my head. So skepticism and fear aside, I'm glad I kept the appointment and am now more hopeful that I CAN implement positive change into my life and maybe just maybe find true love -- and I thank Kari for that.
So to the doubters out there who are debating on whether or not to give this a try -- I say, 'Go fot it' - just try to keep an open mind and perhaps you too can come out with a stronger sense of what is truly possible if we just believe! And that alone makes it totally worth it.

I just wanted to write you a quick note to express my appreciation for you and your many talents. I can't wait for classes to start again!! They were one of the best parts of my year!! You have so much information to share and you do it so well. Your classes attract a wide variety of people and you never hesitate to point out how we have the opportunity to learn from one another. I never feel silly asking a question or requesting clarification about something we're discussing. You encourage each of us to contribute any thoughts, feelings or information we have at any time. And you continue to be available and extremely helpful even after class has ended.
Of course, I couldn't write this letter without mentioning the reading you did for me. Such crazy and confusing things were going on in my life and you truly helped me make sense of them. Your laid back and friendly energy is very comforting, especially when dealing with the intense emotions that I was (am). You helped me to bring to light that which I truly needed to be concerned with. Your suggestions of breathing exercises was so helpful and helped me gain much needed perspective. Much of what we discussed helped me to clear my thoughts and come up with a direction of focus...which had not been visible before.
